Last weekend we camped out in our backyard - got out the big tent, air mattresses, sleeping bags, barbecued hot dogs, and later roasted marshmallows. What's a roasted marshmallow without chocolate and graham crackers, right? Yes, we made s'mores!
This shows me helping the Boy learn to roast marshmallows, and Baby Girl's first ever experience with s'mores. Can you see the pure joy on their faces? Fun!

Your kids are absolutely too cute for words. I envy you. but I'm glad mine are grown!!!
They are just darling! I've never had a s'more
Patti_Cake - Oh, my gosh! Thank Goodness I was sitting down! You've never had a s'more??? Well, you have something to look forward to. They are best with roasted marshmallows over an open fire, but we've been known to cheat and use the microwave when desperate for dessert. Don't tell the kids :)
Patti has lead a terribly deprived life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, Dakota, have you ever tried them with those marshmallows that are rolled in toasted coconut? Sinfully good!
Lynilu - Wow - that sounds amazing! We will have to get some of those. Just thinking about it reminds me of one of my favorite Girl Scout Cookies - Samoas! (Guess you'd need a little caramel, perhaps instead of a plain Hershey bar, you could use a Caramilk. I know. I just went too far.)
Samoas are my favorite too! These pictures are absolutely precious. They make me look forward to the days when I will be teaching kids of my own the joys of tents and sleeping bags!
LOL! No, Dakota, that's not too far! That's just one step toward heaven!!! Yowzer, but that sounds good!!
