A Moment of Reflection

Next week I will turn 44. I graduated from law school almost a year ago. My children are now 5 and 8 years old. My 15+ year marriage ended almost 5 months ago. These are realities in my life.

I have learned some valuable ways of coping with stress - walking instead of eating (I don't want to have to rely on curvatrim reviews to tell me which diet pill I need!), talking with friends, writing - even if it is just emails and personal journals. I am remembering more and more to enjoy the simply joys in life - my kids' laugher, a ladybug that we found on a Frisbee - and the beauty that is all around us - the way a tiny fern will grow right up out of the moss on a tree, a flower opening towards the sun. Life is good. I want to enjoy every moment I can.

I found you through Never Been Lived Before. I am sorry to hear about your marriage. I was going through a divorce right after I graduated from law school. I used my first paycheck to get my own apartment for me and my son. I'll keep checking on you. Associate Girl decisionsonmargaritas.blogspot.com

Life reflections tend to happen around birthday's and other important events. But it is good to assess and be aware of what one is doing right and wrong in life; if we don't do that we can't be sure about where we are going and how we are getting there. And it helps us to be happy. :)

You have a great attitude. So many people (myself included) spend so much time fussing about all the things they're missing in their lives, that they forget to look around and notice what's totally awesome in their lives. It's easy to forget that happiness is a choice.

Happy early birthday!
